the chain with circular belcher type links with star pattern, on a two colour gold hand clasp with stipple ground, wearing an emerald ring and with lemon gold serpent bracelet, the large double-hinged oval locket embossed and chased with acanthus leaves and quatrefoil motif framed by a scroll border, in high relief upon a sable ground, opening on one side to reveal a half-length portrait miniature of a young gentleman facing slightly left, with curled hair and mutton chop side whiskers and wearing white tie, within a broad matt gold border, the opposite side opening to reveal a glazed compartment of hair set and curled as a tied bouquet, the suspension loop surmount formed of scroll, shell and flowers, together with a fitted case length 8cm, width 4.6cm
