  • pierced and decorated, one depicting front and back with a bird with outstretched wings flying down to a gourd shaped fruit, possibly an aubergine, on a ground of trailing leafy branches, the other, similar, with broad leaves and flowerheads, the panels surmounted by graduated red enamelled and diamond Chinoiserie scroll-bars, from similarly enamelled and diamond set tapering baton lines, round cabochon jade collet tops, mounted in platinum and 18ct gold, signed 'CARTIER' to screw-back fittings, and to the gallery edges: 'CARTIER', 'PLAT', '18K', accompanied by (PDF scan of) IAJA Expertise report no. XP1990-251024 signed by Olivier Bachet & Bernhard Berger declaring that in their opinion these are a genuine Cartier item by Cartier New York, circa 1925
