Set of 19th century gold and enamel Renaissance revival filigree earrings and cross pendant by Mellerio, Paris c.1835, of bead and wirework cage design decorated in colourful enamels,
the Latin shaped cross of tubular form, each arm with lines of gold beading spaced by bands of enamelled 'jewel' lozenges in red, green, navy blue and turquoise blue, centred by a four petal floral boss, pink to one side and purple to the other, between each arm radiate four green enamel oak leaves, the arms terminating in wirework and bead bombe caps, hung from a beaded gold suspension loop, the earrings en suite hung with cone shaped pendants, with rounded double bombe bases in wirework and beading below tapering facetted sides with enamelled lozenges in green, mauve and black, from circular gold flowerhead tops similarly enamelled, the earring fittings with gold control marks for Paris 1819-1839 and with workshop mark for _F, together with a contemporary fitted case, accompanied by paperwork from Mellerio dits Meller Cross length overall 6.3cm / 2�', width 4.1cm / 1 5/8''
