Renee Louise Marie de Rothschild (1927-2015) was the daughter of Anthony Gustav de Rothschild and Yvonne Lydia Louise de Rothschild (nee Cahen d'Anvers). In 1955 Renee married the British equestrian and Olympic show jumping medallist Peter Robeson. Late 19th century five stone ruby ring, c.1890, the graduated cushion cut Burma rubies, approximately 4.10cts, with eight rose cut diamond points in between, to a pierced and scroll engraved gallery, fluted shoulders, mounted in 18ct gold, stamped '18CT', accompanied by GCS report no. 5776-4880 giving a Burma origin opinion for the rubies and that they show no evidence of heat treatment
