cut-down collet set with a rectangular cut sapphire, outer square border of small old brilliant cut diamonds, on a four-strand wire shank with tapering and looped shoulders, close set in silver and gold.

By family tradition, given by HRH The Princess Mary, Duchess of Gloucester, daughter of George III (1776-1857), to her lady-in-waiting, Lady Georgina Bathurst (1792-1874) and by descent.
