  • cut-down collet set with a rectangular cut sapphire, outer square border of small old brilliant cut diamonds, on a four-strand wire shank with tapering and looped shoulders, close set in silver and gold.

    Provenance:
    By family tradition, given by HRH The Princess Mary, Duchess of Gloucester, daughter of George III (1776-1857), to her lady-in-waiting, Lady Georgina Bathurst (1792-1874) and by descent.
